How Sanduku works
Two portals, one protected process. Every parcel passes through a Sanduku office at both ends, and money only moves when delivery is confirmed.
For shippers
- 1Create a shipping request with route, dates, weight, declared value and a precise description of every item.
- 2Choose a matching traveller — or wait for one to apply to your request.
- 3Pay the quoted price upfront. Our payment processor holds the traveller's share until delivery is confirmed.
- 4Bring the goods to the nearest Sanduku office for weighing and inspection against your description.
- 5Follow your tracking number until the destination office marks the parcel released to the recipient.
For travellers
- 1Post your trip: route, date, number of suitcases and free pounds per suitcase.
- 2Complete verification — government ID and SSN. No SSN, no carrying.
- 3Review requests, then attend the inspection at the office. If the goods do not match the description, you refuse.
- 4Carry the sealed suitcase and hand it over at the Sanduku office at destination.
- 5Payout is released to you as soon as the destination office confirms the handover.
Money and limits
Pricing is per number of items, total weight and declared value — the shipper pays the full amount at booking.
The traveller is paid only after the destination office confirms the goods arrived intact. Nothing is exchanged in cash between the two parties.
Hard caps: 50 lb per suitcase and $10,000 total declared value across all suitcases, so no shipment approaches customs fraud thresholds.
